We love Alpacas

Thank you for visiting our new website. We hope you enjoy seeing pictures and updates about our alpacas. We focus on breeding healthy, happy animals with good conformation and a loveable nature. All of our animals are treated with the upmost respect, they're all cared for like kings and queens! All of our Cria are halter trained at weaning so they are set up for a good future. While we are only a small herd we have years of experience and understand the issues affecting those new to alpacas. We are always happy to provide advice and assistance, one day or 10 years later.

We purchased our two alpacas in 2019 from a very local breeder- just over the road from us, when working for them in 2019. We had the first cria of our own in 2020 and have been so busy since then, growing our herd size by welcoming Cria each year, purchasing additional breeding females and creating plans for the future of the herd so it will be a sustainable business model.

What we do

Meet and Greet

Our one hour Meet and Greets allow you to get up, close and personal with the stars of the show.

To book a Meet and Greet at Abstract Alpacas please email Abstractalpacasecb@gmail.com .

Breeding

We have a small herd of gorgeous females, all of which are registered with the British Alpaca Society (BAS). We have a few cria every year, so if you're looking for a couple of new faces or would like to start up yourself, give us a ring, we're always happy to chat!

Husbandry Helpers

We know how tough and overwhelming being a new alpaca parent can be, it's not all rainbows and cuddle time! So we offer a number of services to try to help you and your animals stay happy and healthy! Including the nitty-gritty jobs like toe nail trimming, halter training and vaccinations.

Fibre

Alpacas are well known for their gorgeous, hypoallergenic fleeces- we strive to produce a remarkable quality. The fleece market in the UK is still developing so we currently supply our exeptional fleeces to local crafters and makers to be used for both wet and needling felting and spinning.

Our left-over or off-cuts of fleece we use and sell as a natural animal bed. It can be used in bird feeders for wild birds to line their nests with, to keep them warm and toasty in the middle of the chilly winter or for a bed for your small animals at home, such as hamsters.
